The Brazilian Society of Cardiology (in portuguese: Sociedade Brasileira de cardiologia – SBC) and the Department of Cardiovascular Imaging (DIC) announce that applications are open from May 22 to June 15, 2026, for the selection process for the position of Editor-in-Chief of ABC Imagem Cardiovascular (ABC Imagem).

ABC Imagem is the official publication of the DIC. The journal aims to publish high-quality scientific and clinical material from all areas of cardiovascular imaging, including echocardiography, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, and nuclear imaging. All published scientific contributions undergo peer review by members of the Editorial Board, selected from among the leading researchers in Brazil and abroad.

The selection process will follow rigorous technical and academic criteria, in accordance with the SBC Statute and applicable internal regulations. The new Editor-in-Chief will serve a three-year term, with the possibility of one renewal, and will be responsible for leading the journal’s editorial strategy, promoting its internationalization, and ensuring the scientific excellence of its publications.
